Course description

Sustainability is now part of life, but how can bodyshops become more sustainable?

This course is constructed to demystify sustainability by teaching easy to understand information and practical actions that can be tailored to any size of Bodyshop operation.

Sustainability. It doesn’t always mean additional cost, but it does mean change. The course focuses change around 3 core pillars – Product, Process, Equipment – with each being explored in detail to provide opportunities for a Bodyshop to make data driven decisions for both the short and long term.

The course will also draw from real life examples, key trends and problems facing the industry around sustainability covering themes such as waste, Co2, VOCs, plastic, and replacement parts. By understanding this context, each main area across the end-to-end repair process will then be analysed in terms of investment, cost and saving potential.

The areas that will be explored by using the bodyshops own pre-attendance collected data and overlaid with our 3 core pillars, include:

  • Masking
  • Priming
  • Paint Cups
  • Plastic Repair
  • Paint Platforms
  • Spraybooths
  • Can Crushers
  • Dust Extraction
  • Compressors

The course is highly interactive consisting of both classroom and practical learning in the onsite Bodyshop Training Centre.
